2000 Acura 3.2 TL Transmission Fluid
Im wondering if someone can give me a heads up on what type of transmission fluid would go in a 2000 Acura 3.2 TL. The service manual says 1999 to 2000 takes Honda Premium Formula and 2001 and newer models take the Type Z1. I have a 2000 so what type would be the Premium Formula? Ive read the DW-1 but i just wanna be absolutely sure before i buy the fluid. If all else fails ill just go to the dealer near me but i thought id ask here first. Any info would be great. Thank You

Use DW-1 only.
How many miles are on your transmission since the last fluid change? |
Just drain the fluid and top up with DW-1 (about 3 bottles, maybe slightly less, double check on a level surface). Drive it for a few weeks to acclimate the clutches with the new fluid and do another drain. Repeat for a third time to complete the 3x3 drain & fill. If you do a 3x3 on one day, your clutches may slip and cause problems.

Do the 3x3 1 month apart or at least 1000 miles.

I don't trust that theory.plus with a high mileage vehicle;e like that, introducing all that new fluid back to back will shock the tranny or dislodge sludge that's holding the old transmission clutch material together.. In fact I'm getting my AV6 done next month so I don't think i'll have to bother with my last drain and fill.
