1989 Acura Legend LS

The Transmission is acting up, after the boot feel off the oil transmission pressure switch. Its lost power going up inclines, 5000 RPMS and not going fast. I notices this in many gears, loss of power. Is this a Oil Transission pressure switch issue, oil trans pump issue or other? The fluid was changed 2 months ago is fine, no issues. Filled up to top line.

You're so far from the right forum, I don't even know where to send you. I don't think AZine has a Legend subforum. Maybe try a different website.

I don't think he is "far from the right forum." I actually think the TL forum might be the best forum for him honestly.

many shared parts and problems among the brand
Make sure you are cking the trans fluid level correctly per owner book-
Some are done cold and others a specific warm- and then its `between the lines` not at top line, as level changes with trans fluid temp
could make that over-filled, a really bad situation

What ATF exactly did you use? Honda stuff from the dealer, some name brand stuff that said ok for honda/acura, or some bs stuff?
It does matter- the TL is very picky about it so yours may be too
Honda DW-1 is the current fluid from the dealer, its a hybrid semi synthetic

How did you do a trans fluid change, was it a multi- drain and fill with 5 minute drive between?
If trans same as a TL it will only give up slightly less than half its total fluid on a single draining.
How much fluid was used?

Does it feel like its slipping when going uphill under load, like a clutch does when worn out?
Why are you at 5000 rpm, is that doing it by itself- are you full throttle, half throttle, or its just that worn out?

did you reconnect whatever fell off? Try resetting the ECU by removing the CLOCK fuse for 1 minute- at least on a TL
for us the fuse is located on passenger end of dash and marked CLOCK- its the secret backup power to the ECU and clear all codes.

Or disconnect battery NEG cable for a few minutes, same end result, but with fuse method its no hassle.
