When I bought the car, the service manager at the dealer told me to bring it back after one month for service (I assume that you guy had to do the same thing). My question are:
What do they do to your car?
How much does it cost?

There is no service at 1k/1 month. The only thing I can think of is that the dealership is wanting to just make sure everything is working well on the car and just want to do an inspection. I would call and ask them what they are planning on doing and making sure they are NOT going to charge you for the appointment.

The first maintenance listed is 7500 or 3750 depending on which schedule you use.

Do you guys in the US get the first two services free of charge? We get the first two free here in Canada, just wondering.

Man, I didn't get any service free! But Einstein you're right! My dealer told me to bring the car in for 1K service and they were going to give me a free oil change if I brought the survey! Ain't that some sh!t.

The sleazebags at my dealership (David McDavid of Plano, TX) said that if I delivered the survey directly to them, and with 100% perfect marks, then I would get another free tank of gas and my first service for free. Of course, being a cheap b*stard I did...

I suppose I can tell Acura USA that they are doing this, and I have a good mind to - overal, my experience was OK, but I have two complaints: 1) they continued to call the woodgrain trim kit "wood" and tried to sell it to me for something like $700(!), and 2) they lied in explaining their inflated accessory part and instalation prices.

Oh well, I have a new car and got free gas and will get a free lube job. maybe if I complain to Acura I can get some more free stuff.

yeah my dealer told me to come in for the 1k service also, which i will do in another 350 miles!

Anybody know a good or a dealership that will sell the burlwood shifter cheap? or is anyone selling their used burlwood shifter?

hey bdimc2001, did you buy your car from Paragon Acura? Were you the one who asked me for a good dealer in Queens? If yes, we can schedule a day so we can go there together. I am planning to go there on 12/02.

Anyways, I will let you guys know what they do.
