06 Tl motor and trans swap into 03 TL Type S?
Like the title sais, i have a great opportunity to buy a rear ended 06 acura tl for 600 bucks, the trans on my 03 type s is dead, is it possible to just do a complete motor and trans swap feom the 06 to the 03 tl type s? My 03 tl has 260k and the donor car would be 141k so im hoping this is possible so i can pull the trigger and buy the tl.

From my perspective, the engine and transmission should drop in with no issues and bolt up to all of the hard points, however, the exhaust will not bolt up and the ECU is HIGHLY unlikely to work. Then there is the issue of the throttle linkage; the 2003 uses a conventional throttle cable while the 2006 is Drive-by-Wire.
FWIW, the 2003 and 2006 engines have the same bolt pattern for the transmissions.
