so i need help. recently about 2weeks ago, my car has been acting up, i have 112k miles on it. havent had any major issues besides a loud winding noise which was cause by the alternator at the end of june/july. i had it replaced. also my battery was fine at that time. I was driving fine and even when i went to MIA it was fine.

so let me start from beginning,so maybe you guys can tell me what it is or might be. so 2 weeks ago i started my car up and of course you guys know the navi comes on and everything like that. well when it asked to push ok on the navi screen, i noticed some type of flicker; like those old tvs that had those lines flicker on the screen. well something like that. (this was during the day by the way). hey that rhymed lol. well later that day i was driving on the road windows down and music on no navi. well about 15mins in my drive my radio shut of on me (the whole sub screen went out) i was like wtf that was my jam. well about 30sec later it comes back on and i was like that was weird. maybe some govt shyt going on. i was near DC, by the way. well it didnt do it again and till today hasnt. so the next day at night i went out. and when i had my lights on and windows down i stopped behind a car at a red light. it was a white lexus. and i noticed both my headlights were flickering like if they wanted to shut off. i was like uuhhh ooo, whats going on. so then light turned green and i drove and went away. again another red light same car in front but this time my lights didnt flicker at all. i was like whhaaaaa. so green and then another dange on red light, i hate va for gas, with these lights. so then stopped i notice my lights flicker again and at that point i turned them off and on again. and no flicker. i was like my ballast? but i dont think so. i turned on my navi and i noticed that flicker again. so i was like my battery, lucky i have 36month warranty, so i took it and got it replaced which was past Sat. and i havent noticed anything. no radio going off, no light flicker, just minor navi flicker. well i took my car to local shop they tested alternator and seems good, reading great, but battery is reading 579CCA when its a 700CCA. so something is slowly draining my battery. unless the battery i got was a bad one too. so what should i do or what can it be???


if any suggestions is get another battery and try that, i sure will and go on from there but weird its not the alternator when i thought it would be.

hey guys so i took it to acura, and they told me that the HFL is draining out my battery, how is that possible? also i saw on here the rl forms somewhere which i cant find no more, something about the HFL. can someone provide a link if possible.

and has anyone run across this problem?

It is possible the HFL unit will go bad and cause a constant drain on the battery. I've seen it on a few TL's.
