using Carburetor cleaner/octane booster

Does Acura recommend using any kind of Carburetor cleaner, octane booster, etc, etc when we fill up the gas tank. I have a 2005 RL with 68,000 miles.

I think that stuff is only good if your car is not used very often. Techron is the recommended choice of most people who use the stuff.

If you're using premium gas as required, no need to boost the octane. If you want to clean the carburetor, find another car. The RL doesn't have one...fuel injected like just about every car made these days.

If your car is running well, why mess with it?

Hmmm....I don't think Honda has made a carburetor engine since late 1980's? If you’re talking about fuel injection/ fuel injection cleaners, I would highly recommend BG44 (I have seen their product at the Acura dealership). After using this product, I have notice a bit of an increase in mpg (19.5 before, and around 21.5 now) or maybe it is my imagination?

We know, just having fun.

If you use good gas and floor the pedal ever so often, you do not need these products.
If you never floor it and drive in daily traffic jam, they might be useful.
