Tinting my RL
So I plan on just getting a 50% tint on my 06 RL.
A huge must have is for them to make sure the whole back window is tinted. I personally don't like it when they cut around the rear light housing.
My question for those who have theirs tinted were the guys able to easily remove the housing for the light?

Burning Brakes
I just got a 15% tint done recently, but I think by law (Colorado at least), they are require to cut out the tint for the 3rd brake lights on the rear back window (is that what you are talking about?), but it could be state by state law.

Rhlieu is right... why would u want to cover up the nice strip of top LED anyway, it's not like it's a regular ugly filiment bulbs... plus, it's not that hard to do if you want to cover up the light strip.... just pop that inner cover off and you have clear access.... you are actually making the tint job easier for the installer

I had it done that way on my TSX, I just don't like it when you have your tinted window and a cut out. Sort of ruins the clean black look imo. Funny I don't even know what the brake light looks like!!

Check this out. I didn't mind when they went around the light. It does depend on the law and to me it just looks better. It is also for safety reasons.
