Time to replace the lower ball joints. Is Beck/Arnley still the best option?

The right front lower ball joint has some play. Replacing just the ball joint doesn't appear to be an option. From the threads I've read it appears Beck/Arnley is the best aftermarket option. I am going to replace both sides since I have 185k miles. I am also going to replace both outer tie rod ends using Beck/Arnley.
Is that the best option still? It is ashame to have to throw away the entire arm for a bad ball joint but it appears that is the case.

Yes! Other than OEM I think they are the best aftermarket parts you can buy. I have on mine and so far so good!

The OEM control arms are almost $500 a piece compared just over $100 for the Beck/Arnley. I obviously went with the Beck/Arnley arms. I went with Moog for tie rod ends and sway bar links. I have has good luck with Moog products on other cars in the past. Hopefully they work well on the RL.

Moog products are pretty solid, and they have lifetime warranty on the parts, which is great. For DIYers like us, it works. I can't speak for Beck/Arnley too much. We used their upper are on our 1G RL and it seems to be holding up to this day. The car sees the worst of Michigan winter roads too.

so i replaced the shocks and springs and was going to do the arms and tie rods with it....until i started. It ended up being a MUCH MUCH bigger job than i anticipated so i just stuck with doing shocks and spring so far. Havent had a chance to tackle the arms or tie rods yet. The steering feels a bit loose and its driving me nuts so i might just do it sooner than later

I finally had the Beck/Arnley lower control arms installed. I also replaced the outer tie rod ends and the sway bar links (front and rear) with Moog parts. Of course I had an alignment done as well.

It is driving much better. No more suspension noise. I was nervous I needed front struts again. It appears I don't luckily.
