"there are no beige glove boxes in the USA"

I have never had this happen before where I can't get a part, but I heard from all the big online Acura dealers that the beige glove box is on backorder w no ETA translated to they're gone across the USA. The bubbles r killing me. Advice?? Every one I've seen at a junkyard has the bubbles in it already. I am going to go-to a classic car restorer or dashboard specialist.

I am not surprised and seeing this more and more as manufacturers phase out older stock. One suggestion I have is to try for Acura/Honda products is to try Honda classic I worked with a solid acura dealership by me who found a body kit for my RL that was discontinued and in my color through classic warehouse.

Second suggestion, I would look less at a classic car restorer and more toward an upholstery shop or leather repair place to replace/repair that piece

Check LKQOnline.com but chances are if the beige glove boxes had this issue that those are also bubbled... best is to fix it in the upholstery shop...
Having 9+ year old second Gen RLs may not be logical to purchase brand new glove box part even if it was available

I bought one this past February the bubbles bad and I’m 100% happy I replaced it. I used Acura parts for less. They also told me it’s was backorderd but they were able to locate one from another dealer in a different state. I would give them a call. It’s worth a shot. Good luck

My 08 only has 89k miles on it but any accident will probably total it. It could last alot longer so I want to fix it. I drove a tlx and the RL kills it transmission wise.

Where are you located? I have a beige glove box without bubbling that came out of my 2007 RL. Got a better one cheap with some other parts at the junkyard. Its not flawless, looks like some little shit rested their cleats on it on the way home from soccer practice, but it sounds like its a lot better than yours.

Pay for shipping and handling, or come pick it up and it's yours. Its just sitting in my garage not being used. PM me if you're interested or want pictures.

Should I count myself lucky that my glovebox hasn't disintegrated in my 05? What the hell causes this? Heat?

I'm quite happy with mine. It's classier this way. You could say it's made of Ostrich leather.
