Hey guys,

I went through a Drive thru a couple months back and was given a cup of Soda with the lid loose! As I prepared to put the cup in the cupholder, the lid fell off and soda was spilled on the cup holder mechanism. Now when I open/close the lid, it sticks or takes abnormally long to open/close. I asked the dealer and they won't cover it under warranty. Out of warranty cost would be around $140 since they said they would have to take dismantle the center console.

This may be something I could fix myself if I knew how. Could you guys give me some guidance and/or point me to where I can find some? Referring to a page in the service manuals would be awesome too!

you asked the dealer to cover "I made a mess" under warranty... hahaha kudos to you.

Just spray some wd40 in there and work it around.
