Splash guards

Purchasing a new '05 RL. The dealer was out of splash guards. I plan to order them online. Does anyone know the level of difficulty involved with installation. Is it a simply a matter of drilling a few holes? Do the wheels need to be removed to assure adequate clearance?

You don't even need to drill holes for the most part. I installed mine myself. The only 4 of the screws are new inserts. Most of the screws used are already used in holding the interior wheel well pieces in place and you simply remove them and reuse them. On the 4 that you do have to start new, the holes are clearly marked with indentations on the fender lip and the screws are pretty much self tapping. I didn't even break the drill out. The hardest thing you'll have to deal with is getting a small enough screw driver to be able to put the screws in if you con't want to remove the wheels in the back. On the front you can simply alternate turning the wheels to give you enough access. It took me all of 20 minutes and I didn't remove the wheels at all.
