So I'm changing out the coils today and the little entrance to the spark plug well looks like it's eroding and shitty. What is this from? Will it have an adverse effects on the car?

Is that just the valve cover I cant tell from pic but looks like plug/tube sleeve is fine but valve cover/cam cover is eroding? Is that the only 1 doing that? Never removed any of that from my RL so interested in what others have to say

Why does that look like caked up oil to me? Looks sort of like the oil caked up around the valve covers too...
