Greetings
06 RL Tech 130k meticulously maintained. It was 32 degrees this morning so I warmed the car up for about 15 minutes. When I got in just before I put the car in drive I gave it a rev and saw smoke coming out of my tail pipe. I repeated the rev and no smoke. I ran my errands and came home, let it sit for 30 minutes and repeated the steps. Let the car idle for 15 mins reved it up and saw smoke again. Seems it only happens when the car has time to sit idle. I have not been able to get it to smoke under normal driving conditions. Appreciate your feedback. Thanks

FWIW: A couple of things to consider. 1.Is your coolant lever stable? 2. Is your oil level stable? 3. Does smoke appear on cold start-up? Has the engine ever been over heated? Exhaust smoke, immediately on cold start-up, or after prolonged idle, 2-4 or more minutes, could be an indication of failing valve guide seals. A valve guide seal issue, normally, would result in excessive engine oil consumption. Since the car has been " 130k meticulously " maintained, you would be very aware of abnormal coolant or oil consumption, If neither abnormal coolant, nor oil consumption is being exhibited, than justnspace is spot on, in his assumption, that what your seeing is simply condensation. If it is normal condensation, you may want to look at the exhaust tips, immediately after revving the engine. Visible water droplets at the exhaust tips, would be a good indication that what you are seeing is normal condensation.
