Sluggish at low RPMs
maybe it’s just me, but my RL feels sluggish when ever the RPMs are below 2,000, anything above that is perfectly smooth, no check engine light. The reason I say that maybe it’s just me is because besides my 07 RL, we also own a 04 TL, and an explorer. Whenever I go a while without driving one of the cars I always feel like there’s something wrong with one of them, I know you can’t compare oranges to apples but I don’t remember it being sluggish like this.

honda engines are quirky.
they display funny characteristics.
it's a higher revving engine than most cars.
the car is rated somewhere close to 250hp/250tq, except all this power is made at 6,000 RPM.
Below 2,000 RPM; you're making somewhere in the neighborhood of 150hp/tq or less, and that's a mighty tough task to ask of the engine to haul ~4,000lbs.
