shift knob

Is there any way to separate bottom piece from the top? I took the screw off at the bottom but it didn't budge.

you need to put some muscle into it, its easy as unscrew.

So wait, just pull on it or unscrew?

Sorry for the confusion. I mean #13 itself. I want to separate the top from bottom.

^yes, from the picture 13 attaches to the stick by threads...so if you unscrew the knob itself, it should come off

I mean the fake plastic chrome from the wood part. There's a screw inside way up top that i removed but won't separate.

Yeah. I thought that since it has a screw that it did. Wanted to switch mine to a fresher looking plastic chrome bottom.

it may be glued from the factory.

if you're this far in, i would attempt to separate the two. but then...where would you get another chrome piece from??

I actually bought the wooden one to replace my leather one which isn't chrome bottom and shows less surface scratches. Just don't want to pry it apart if it's factory glued and have pieces break and get stuck on either one because then I will obviously will not have a shift knob. Bummer.

you can't separate the chrome part from "wooden looking" part.
