RL Totally Dead no lights
Hello,
Can someone please guide me in the right direction. My rl was running fine. I came home at 3 pm from Work. At 6 decided to go to walmart and car won't unlock. Used the key to open the door but there are absolutely no lights. The car is just dead. Charged the battery for 45 mins and tried again but nothing. There are absolutely no lights. I am not sure whats going on. Thanks, |
if my only option is to tow the car to the dealership , how do you put in on a flatbed when car is in park and will not response to anything?

"Charged the battery?"
Like.. how about you buy and install a new battery before paying for towing? |

There is a cover to the left of the shifter that pops off and you can place the key inside that overrides the break lever to out the car into neutral https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...10825b9f6d.jpg

Well just got a call from the dealer. It was the Freaking driver door handle blowing up the main fuse.
Atleast that's what they told me. Around $500 fix. |
If you remove the plastic cover that you usually turn to start the engine, you can use the key to start the car. There's a little slot, i think u need to insert the key slightly into it, then it comes off. You insert the key like in other cars and start.
If the alarm goes off, you'll need to use the other key and put in in the driver door, while the other key is still in the ignition and the alarm sounding, to stop it. You'll need to either fix / replace the handle, or remove the trim and unplug it. https://acurazine.com/forums/second-...t-horn-957926/ Then put a new fuse in Fuse 7 slot. |

common issue. A fair amount of labor to fix. Now I am thinking it's not even worth changing the door handle and I should cancel my order. |
Maybe find and indy shop to do it for less..................
