RL Brake Caliper Slide Plate broken - help!

On the front caliper, this is the stainless steel part that the pad backing plates slides across on their corners. There are 4 of these per caliper (Advics) and they are held in with a 3mm Allen.

This may be a longshot, but I wonder if anyone can please direct me to where I might find this part? It is not listed as a separate part on the various OEM parts sites, and I would love to not have to replace the entire caliper.

Thanks,
Paul

finding a machine shop around here was a major ordeal, then one that would fool with a small job... I went through it a while back (for a couple of heavy threaded steel rods and a couple of holes in them - simple part)

where did they all go ?

Do you have junkyards in town that let you "pick your part" by entering the yard and doing your own disassembly? Some calls to find an RL might be the ticket, or hell, junkyards that strip them on their own. You don't need the part new, just intact.

I don't even see a breakdown of the part as an individual piece. From me, you'd be looking at a new caliper, at $404.02.

Looking at it though, this is something that I could repair in 15 minutes with my mig welder. Might be just best to take it to a welding shop and give them some beer money to put it back together, unless you have a welder at your disposal....

In a few years you'll be able to "print" the part in your home. 3D printers are awesome.

Thanks everyone for the replies. My brother in law is a welder and says he can repair it and it will be fine. Look forward to getting these brakes back on...then on to new tires!

I've been dealing with a brake vibration for a few weeks, finally got around to taking the calipers apart and found the exact same thing. This part still isn't listed on any of the acura parts websites or rock auto. Has anyone found a way to replace it other than getting someone to weld it for them?

Finally got around to searching junkyards for either this part or a whole caliper. Found one about 1.5 hours away and he only wanted $40 for each front caliper so I bought them both. I was talking to the owner about how parts car RLs aren't easy to find and he said "oh, i have 3 of them, 4 if you count the one around the side of the building that still runs and I'm currently selling as a driver"
