Removing trunk liners

Did a search....found nothing. I have to replace the audio amplifier which is apparently housed on the passenger side of the trunk up near the base of the pillar.

Are there any procedures, cautions, or "Tips From The Top" on removing those liners on the trunk's right side?

TIA,

They seem to be glued, no clips. It was done by original owner of my car on the left side to open the gas cap manually. He seems to have had a fuse 7 issue that I later figured out.

My guess is just start somewhere wise, and peel carefully.

it sucks and it cracks at the edges if you bend it enough - like creases it then cracks it where it creases, then when you place it back, the edges are all jagged looking. Happened to me lol

There are a few clips around the player but most of it is held in place by the trunk weatherstripping . The harder part is slipping the carpeting over the little handle on top right side of the player, but even that is pretty easy. To find the clips gently pull back the material until you see them and use the metal trim tool to pop out the panel pins. You should get a metal trim tool, it will make working around the trim easier. It's very easy to accidentally pull the padding off the clips and not so easy to glue it back in place.

This is the tool you'll need, pictured. The pins are around 4" from the edge of the material...just gently roll back the material until you see the pin and slide the tool in and lever the clips off..think there are two directly above the unit. Again, take your time and it shouldn't be too difficult.
