Plasti Dip??

Has anyone use this product before?

I'm trying to cover the chipped chrome trims around the car.

What you all think??

yes, its wildly used in the automotive world.

usually, people dont use it to cover up things, but more for changing the appearance or color of a grille.

Most of the time, people go all out with plastidip and it looks horrible on the car!

you can try it out, as a can is only 7 dollars and if you dont like the results you can simple peel it off.

If you paint a rough/uneven surface you will only have a painted rough/uneven surface.

Make sure you prep the wheels first. Especially since there is road grime and tire treatment on them.

As for plasti-dip, yes there are tons of threads about it.

Don't dip your wheels. Get it refinished of it bothers you.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong but I don't think he is talking about wheels just the chrome trim pieces around the car.

Make sure you clean the surface and give it 3-4 coats, see the final product once it dries and if you don't like it then just peel it off.

Won't hurt to try

Son of a beach... I think you are right... "trim" or "rims"

Good call, coop.

OP, "dipping" the trim is perfectly acceptable. I thinking will do it to my grill since it has chips.

Thank you all for your input.

I'm going to try it out on the grill area first, see if it bond with the paint then worry covering other area

Thanks once again
