New Rotors

Thinking about new drilled rotors at least for the front right now. Any issues or pitfalls I should be aware of? Any recommend brands to use or be wary of? I intend to do the change from OEM to drilled myself, so any info is very much appreciated.

Thanks Acurazine.

there is no benefit of going to a drilled rotor...matter of fact, drilled rotors are prone to crack because of the proximity of the holes...

wow, really? thanks for the info......I do love the looks....as far as rotor replacement on the RL...difficult or about the same as other cars. I replaced the rotors and did the brake pads on my TL all the time. Is it about the same on the RL? Thanks again....

We're in agreement, drilled rotors aren't great for a street car since they can be prone to cracking, and they are harder on pads.

If you're in it for aesthetics slotted rotors are a good alternative! They're nicer nice to pads and a bit more street car friendly all around!

You can find StopTech rotors for your car on our site here: StopTech Brake Rotors - Sport Slotted - Excelerate Performance - European, Exotic and Japanese Performance Specialists!!

Feel free to send me a PM if you need help getting setup!

ExcelerateRep, which solid or blanks (standards?) from your website would be good for an '08 RL? I need front and rears. Thanks.
