hello everyone i am a new member but not new to the site ive used this site for answers and research for years for a tl i used to have now i am a proud owner of a 05 acura rl and love it. i am a mechanic and i do it for a living so i never really ask on how to i just find the problem and fix it but i hit a locked door om this one i cant figure out wtf is going on anymore this is how everything started.....

found out my water pump was leaking one sunday morning and decided to try to stop it a little by putting half a bottle of stop leak in it. after i did i let it run in my garage for around 45 minutes with the heater on blast turned it off went inside and came back out to go out about 2 hours later and noticed as i was driving that the driver side air was not getting hot but the passenger side is working perfectly fine ive been up and down checking everything no dtc's checked all the ambient sensors checked motors did the system check with snap on scanner done it checked it all and still cant figure it out!! looked everywhere oddesy forum on this forum everywhere i figured its time to post it up myself see what i get so please i f anyone can help me out i will really appreciate it i want to start modding the car but first gotta fix these things.

car has 177k miles new water pump new timing belt and no dtcs car drives perfect everything works except no heat drivers side.

anything is well appreciated thank you!!

sounds like the stop leak is also a stopped up line.

well I also taught that but I did the water pump and did new antifreeze already I didn't back flush the heater core but idk if something was up then the passenger side wouldn't be hot either.

Does the A/C blow evenly on both sides? Leave the car on Auto LO for a bit and confirm both sides of the dash are blowing around the same temp. Are you sure it was working before the way you are testing it now?

Sounds like a faulty driver air mix door if it is stuck in the cool position...There are 2 different motors on each side.

yeah but I already checked all four power probe them and everything plus if one was bad it would throw a code and maybe the door if physically broken or stuck but idk how to check that besides removing the dash

You don't have to remove the dash to get any of them out. And they won't necessarily throw a code as long as the circuit is complete. It could be physically stuck on the cool position. You could take it loose and confirm it's movement while adjusting the temp.

Sorry to revive such an old thread but, has anyone had this issue, and if so, what was the fix?
