Im sure that this isnt the first thread about this problem however i need help. my nav unit went on my 05 RL. instead of sending it to alpine threw the dealer I bought a new(used) unit from a 06 RL. Inside was the 2008 DVD.. The unit works (AC controls, AUDIO, settings, INFO. the navi will not find a signal!!!! so no (map or menu) I pressed MAP/GUIDE-CANCEL-MENU and then played around and got to a screen that ran a check and the Red light flashed on Antenna!!! and another screen said "antenna NG" does anyone know what may be the issue?


I pulled the radio fuse and reset the system twice. and unplugged the trunk navi unit twice to try and recalibrate it didnt work.

Just wanted to drop a line. and say I am not the sharpest tool in the shed. after running the system check a few time i figured i would check just to make sure i made every connection. sure enough i forgot to plug in the antenna wire into the navi unit.
