My 06 RL Problem Sheet....*sigh*

Here is my list of issues with the car. I would like to fix it as i love this car too much.
- AFS dash message and a flickering driver side HID.
- Keyless entry issue (touch the sensor on the door and a key appears on the dash but it doesn't lock/unlock anymore.
- Passenger seat is now ripped.
- Getting rust around the driver/passenger door handle (searching for used doors - pearl white)
- Need new foglights (no one makes aftermarket)

Its been such an awesome car - no one seems to know the keyless access fix.

Welcome! Pretty much all the issues you've mentioned have been documented on this forum.

1. https://acurazine.com/forums/second-...fs-fix-930302/

Post 53 addresses what is most likely your afs issue.

2. This issue is more than likely a bad door handle/fuse 7. With it being an '06, it probably needs a new door handle...

3. Unfortunately would need to be refinished by an upholsterer

4. Fairly well documented, while Acura did extended their corrosion warranty, you're probably SOL now unfortunately...

5. https://acurazine.com/forums/second-...cement-769528/

This should be a fairly cheap fix to the broken foglight! Check out the garage when you have a chance, it will provide many resources in the future for you.

Thank you for the reply.

Trust me, i have searched and tried all the DIY fixes on this forum and nothing has worked as of yet. Regarding the seat & foglight comment, it was a way of me poking around to see if anyone had one for sale - i tried the lexan replacement and the interior of the foglight is ruined from water getting in...painting it made it look worse. Both of my door handles are new - bought them from a local Acura dealer and it did not fix my problem.

I appreciate the help!

I would post a wtb ad in the black market, you might lucky! Have you checked the fuse for the handles?
Always glad to help!

Yes I did. I literally just finished pulling every from under the dash and even in the engine bay, all are good.
it's weird though, if I sit in my car and put the window down and touch the handle, the green key on the dash lights up.

Does the MID identify driver 1 and 2 when you start the car? Something to do with the immobilizer?
