KB2 opinions

Hey azine fam, I’ve been away for a while. I’ve been itching to get into another Acura, and a very clean 2010 KB2 RL is for sale locally. I know the owner, and it’s been fully serviced recently for timing belt, water pump, valve adjustment etc. it’s got 150k on it, and I’m wondering about some first hand pros/cons. The lack of aftermarket support is my first “con” so far but they seem pretty solid. Thanks!

This one is the AWD 3.7, just not familiar with the platform. In the past I’ve had a 98 Integra, 2002 TL-S, 2006 RSX and a 2007 TL tech.

the TL with the 3.7 had some with oil consumption issues...
but for me; someone who likes to work on cars; it would be a non-issue. I wouldnt mind buying the 3.7l whether it be the 6MT SHAWD TL, MDX, or RL.

it's basically the same thing as your past hondas.. .

02-type s If it's a KB2 in general assessment, then with all it's possible little work down the road, it's quite solid still. It's a all around more solid and quality car vs the ones you listed.

As for the car itself, which trim is it? colors? how many previous owners? price? etc. pictures go a loong way for good wishes

haha you can tell I’ve been away from the forums for too long, I’m like a newb again lol. It’s a tech package, not sure on owners, listed at 8k.

No, that's my car. I said pics of your car That's my color combo. Only those top windows addition make our cars different. I don't like how they look, btw.

Is this tech I or tech II?

For the price this must be a very very clean car. But, I am of course biased.

I'd buy it

RV6 has exhaust pieces and Tein (and a few others) have coilovers

Depends what your looking for, if your looking to "mod" it I would say this is not right platform to pursue. If you want a solid, comfortable vehicle then this is a great choice and I think this is 1 of the best values out there in the used car world.

BTW...I have same color combo but on a 07 with aspec package.

Check this out: https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-rl-p...-951467/page2/

And the KB2 comes with bigger tires, thicker bars, an extra stabilizer bar, and thicker bushings; among other things.

I would say leaving it stock would be unlikely, but basic bolt ons, suspension/wheels/tires etc would be for sure

It’s a tech I, yeah I’m not a fan of the visors either.

Test drive, check if tranny is shifting and hard downshifting like - as the resident Ziners say - 'like butter', etc. And negotiate a lower price a buy it!
