Hey guys, I live in Toronto Canada, I visit my cousine in Philidelphia few days ago, I found gas is not only much cheaper than here ($2.50/gallon VS $0.89/L). It seems to me the fuel that i am getting from the states are more fuel efficient and more powerful than the one I had in Canada.

Fuel taxes are higher in Canada. Economy difference is probably due to the fuel formulation.

I would also suspect there are regional refinement variances along with the 'summer' and 'winter' grade fuel grades we have. Although I have noticed some better mileage with some brands over others I notice a consistent 2mpg better efficiency with summer grade fuel (and that is with AC on all the time in the summer). During the winter months my average drops 2mpg with the winter grade fuel and and AC off.
