How does this 05 RL look?

This one is a 05, looks pretty clean no rips on the door seats or console.
The Owner said it will need a radio code, a hi-way light (I think he means fog light) and possibly brakes(he said they are should be good for a couple months).
Looks like it has TL wheels,
He wants 4k. Worth picking up tomorrow or should I get an 06+?
I've attached pics.
Any replies are greatly appreciated

Really difficult to evaluate, car vs. price, based on the info you provided. Mileage, service history, etc.? Can't really see anything, in the pics. Any comparison info., on the 06 your considering"

How many miles? Owners? Service history? Any accidents? Do you have the link to the ad?

Ahh someone the bought the silver one yesterday, hope it went to a new home.

,

Here's the ad to the white one I'm still considering it but the ad says he got timing done 1200 miles but when I try and haggle he says it needs the money to do timing and brakes so its as is... finding a clean RL around 5k is nearly impossible,

I might have to finance a 2010 RL for around 10k.

I have my 05 for sale, asking 6500. All maintenance up to date, 128k miles, timing belt done at 90k. It’s a clean car. All receipts, I’ve owned it since 2008, bought off lease at 43k miles.

A car like THIS, would certainly gain my interest! Yes, it's $1,500.00 more than the one you looked at, BUT, look at the history! Well worth the additional cost, if everything checks out, IMO! This is exactly, the type car I look for, when researching a purchase, for myself, a family member, or friend. VERY FEW SELLERS, ESPECIALLY DEALERS, offer this type of insight, into the vehicles history! Not only does rlerman know the history, he has the receipts, TO BACK IT UP! PRICELESS!

ive had the car listed on CL and cars.com since March with zero interest. I think most people have no idea what these cars really are. I’m not giving it away and I’m not taking a $2 or $3k trade offer from a dealer. I’ll run it into the ground if I can’t get my price. I do all maintenance myself, bleed brakes every oil change, 3*3 trans change every 15k, transfer case and differential every other oil change, etc. lots of work done under warranty, including prop shaft, ac, afs, etc etc. no flickering headlights. Only issues are a slight tear in driver door armrest, hazard button light is out, right seat heater light is out, but they function. Tires have half life, rotors and pads well over half life left. Shocks replaced at 105k. All receipts.

sorry, not trying to make this my for sale ad, just kind of showing what a well maintained and documented car should look like and what you should look for. The one posted by the OP I’d be running from fast.

btw, I’m selling because I need a larger vehicle, an SUV.

Without service records to prove it was maintained properly, I wouldn't touch it. If I ever sold my RL, it would come with a 2 inch stack of service records from the dealer.

Exactly what I am looking for, a car with service records and all the features, but it looks like it won't be a KB1. The only tech with the ACC I can find has 300kms and has been hit twice in the rear... it is an aspec though they are asking 4.4k with some records but it's has some serious mileage.
