Hot & uncomfortable seats? Too much lumbar.
Have a new RL, build 02/05 and my number one problem/complaint is the seats.
Maybe I have an over-sensitive butt, but I feel like I am sitting on a bump rather than having a seat that fits my contour (5' 9", 155 lbs). Also, the back of the bottom of the seat seems hotter than other areas and I have not figured out why. The seat heaters are not on BTW. Anyone else feel this way?
I have been to the dealer to get the seat component pictures and see that all the parts for the cooled seats (which are standard in Canada) are on the sheets...but no part numbers are given. This option would be invaluable to me, but I don't know what it would cost yet to do.
I also don't like lumbar, and am surprised how much the back juts out when the lumbar is at a minimum. Any way to have this made even less? I also had assumed that the lumbar was part of the memory (it is not), as I share the car with my wife who does like lumbar.
The lexus GS and infinity M seats were far more comfortable to me, but the RL topped thoses cars for us in many other areas. Wil the seats get "broken in" and feel better after a few months?
Any suggestions?

Three Wheelin'
I must echo ASP's comments - the seats in my RL are the most comfortable I have experienced. I've done a couple of 4 hour drives to golf in the mountains and I felt very comfortable the entire time.
Sorry to say that I'm up in Canada enjoying the cooled seats. I too am at a loss to explain why they were not included in the U.S. version. My only thought is that it will be included in the 2007 model year as part of a mid-model change.

Agree with the last two posts
I made a two day 20 hour trip of 1200 miles and found the seats to be the best I've used. The lumbar also fits me very well. If they were only ventilated they would be perfect.....

I'm pretty much your same weight and height and always found the RL seats to be very comfortable.
I did trade my RL for an M in April, so I know what you mean about the M seats as well. It took me no time to find the perfect driving position.
