Hi.. i have been trying to find out how the Heimholtz filter looks like on the new wheel (2011 - 2012)on the RL? can someone please take a real world picture of it and we see how it looks and get a sense of how it might work to lower the wheel noise? stefce

It's "Helmholtz" and the resonator is inside the wheel. Thus, you can't see it. Click here for an image:

This is supposed to reduce wheel noise from the tires that gets transmitted up through the car. Any one know if these can be bought separately?

You have to buy the wheels. IIUC, there are hollowed out portions of the alloy in the hub that resonate opposite the target tones.
