they are just hazy. i've tried restoring them numerous times and after a couple months they rehaze. But thanks, I will go check the junkyard but I the junkyard lights will probably be still 600$. Wish they would just sell the lens.

Honestly, you think they will take the time to remove the headlight, bake it, remove the lens, and sell it?

Have them professionally polished with a warranty and not a kit from the drug store and see if they last longer.

I just redid mine with a kit from Sylvania. The last step is a UV Blocker that helps prevent hazing. It turned out way better than I expected

I've been using the restoration kit from MOC for a couple years on customer's cars with great results. I completed the restoration on my old TL's lenses about 2 yrs ago and they're still looking fresh today. If these lenses haze, why would buying new ones keep it from happening again? If you want to solve the problem, buy a car cover or park in a garage.

Not to interject here, but are there any tips to preventing this from happening in the first place? I bought a headlight protecting kit from XPEL and I'm hoping that's as far as I have to go to prevent this...

Anything you put on to protect the plastic from UV, road debris, and chemicals will help.

But the reality is that its just plastic.

There is another thread about polishing the lenses here if you do a search. Some have used the kits with success. I just got some of that really fine sandpaper 2500 and 3000 grit and did it myself, polished them out with some light oxidation wax and a random orbital buffer to look like new again. The only thing I am lacking is that anti UV spray on stuff as they do haze up again. Any suggestions? BTW...be sure you use that blue tape to tape off the paint as you will tend to go over the edges of the lenses in the process.
