Talking got me a J37 manifold! couple questions though

Ive decided to continue modding my RL after its whole cosmetic upgrade - I got myself a J37 manifold and throttle body.
I know CL you have it installed anyone else? Are you happy you did it? I am looking for some highway gains. My RL pulls well for itself with my current mods but it needs to be in the best gear to really get it moving on the highway so im souped adding this J37 & I matched it with the P2R intake manifold spacer too since ill be in the same spot.

Anyone who has this done how happy are you with it? I chose this over the HFPCD since HeelToe bargained a deal advertised on the site and I saved 10% What am I looking for in cost to install this? I have my pulley , knn filter , jpipe and now my J37 kit .. so next question is tuning getting as bolted on as i'm getting do we have a tuning source on the market? I haven't seen anyone at least

I can't complain at all since I've done the J37 setup. Car moves a lot better then it did before. I also have the MDX spacer and lightweight pulley which also helps but I did notice a high rpm hit with the spacer installed.

The gearing (and weight) is what kills the RL, there's only so much that can really give you a noticeable power boost. I have a set of PCDs waiting to go on & once I finally get my damn flex pipe fixed I'm gonna get a high flow cat installed in place of the 3rd cat. That should help her breathe even better.

While your taking shit apart, maybe grab a set of ported runners, would be a nice addition with the 3.7 set up.

Which 3.7 setup did you go with?

I went with raw magnesium manifold and added the throttle body and gaskets for both and declined in the top plate since I can reuse mine and I picked up the intake manifold spacer too

I have the Jpipe on my RL and my flex pipe isn't fucked up like yours which u need to fix btw lol but I should get a reasonable gain since I have that Jpipe

the weight really does hold it back.. when I upgraded from the 17s to 19s I felt the weight I don't think much seperate the weight between both rim n tire size but I know my car and I know it slowed it down a little bit which prompted me to get the J37

how much are the runners? My next mod is gonna be the HFPCD I want to maximize the Hp in my RL so between the exhaust side and engine side and airflow all in between I'm upgrading everything

I'll get some pics up soon

im still waiting on my J37 manifold and P2R spacer but I went a step further and purchased a set of RV6 PCDs 👌🏻
When I spoke to Richie he highly suggested changing my O2 sensors since he's seen a lot of them failing due to burned out cats and something with leaking oil into the spark plug tubes? If anyone knows first hand he does so I went ahead and purchased 4 new O2 sensors $$$

So a lots happening to my RL ☺️
He mentioned 14-21WHP and with so many supporting mods on my RL including Jpipe I should expect to see the high end of that plus the J37 and P2R gains

did you ever manage to get dyno before and after mods? I would like to see number for the gain. Any gain will be demolish by the SH-AWD and 5spd slush box.

I wasn't expecting it, but I felt more power gain from a valve adjustment than I did from my Mugen exhaust and Jpipe.

Cars pretty quick now but I'm still not done.. where should I go from here? What else can I do to add more hp?

thinking maybe dip into the transmission but how can I make it sportier?

Might be able to tune this car but I just haven't gotten around to forking out the money yet

What tuning are you talking about?

As for more power, 4" intake, ported runners would be a good start. Honestly the most noticeable improvement performance wise would be to do some weight reduction

post 535 - Ive already spoken to Ktuner to see if it can be done and it might be

CL - get the kit see if it works I need a break from money spending lol

you guys have seen that I've basically installed every single mod available for the RL - with the new manifold and spacer and PCD.. cars quick but u know what I thought it'd be quicker.. I know with my 19s once I added them into the car it slowed me down .. if I had my stock 17s I'd probably rip some mid 300hp cars but I still want more power

I thought to work with the transmission but I haven't thought of what I can do to help .. there isn't anything weight wise I can dump

P0137 code went on I have a replacement O2 sensor but I have a feeling this fix is going to be something more then that.. car drives the same the transmission sometimes gets sluggish where the Acura won't go full throttle doesn't happen often but it has

anything I can do to the transmission? Sport it up a little? I considered putting a 6MT in it but I have a suspicion it'd be very costly and unknown territory

Any way to get the stock tranny more sportier?

A 6 spd swap would definitely be a costly adventure since it's never been done, to my knowledge anyways. With that said, it would definitely wake the RL up..

As for making the transmission sportier, you could look into a high stall torque converter.

Did Ktuner tell you they plan on support in the future or actually in the process of doing it?
