fog light question..

I have searched and didn't find my answer.

Question: Does the 2006 Acura RL share the same fog light with another Acura vehicle?

Ie: rsx, tsx, tl

Obviously different brackets...

Mind you I checked that site on my cell phone but it is only showing me the bulbs.
I was inquiring on the actual fog light itself as 1 of mine is cracked.

Should I give you the link to Oemacuraparts.com?

I'm not certain, but I think the 07-08 TL fogs are interchangeable. My buddy has an 08 type s and the shape looks identical.

I did look at the oemacuraparts site - which i thank them for putting pictures on - I printed some off and colored them too

06 RL: 33901-SJA-A01
07 TL: 33901-SEP-A01
06 TSX: 33901-SEC-A01

The difference is the middle section letter sequence. So I guess that answers my question. It seems the mounting hardware on some are a permanent fixture?
It seems like there are no used/aftermarket foglights for this car on the internet.

Let the search continue....

Thanks for the help and sarcasm

Theretrofitsource is coming out w/ LED foglights with full housing that supposedly fits the 2G RL. I would wait for it to see what they have to offer if you're not in a rush. $160 plus 15% discount isn't too bad.

There have been a few retrofits of Ford Fusion Fog lights into the RL, but I can't recall any other models.

From what I have seen on google - it looks like you need the alternative front bumper/lip in order to make it work/look nice. (Liek the mugen bumper)

I honestly don't see my fusion retro working without the ASPEC lip, it would just look odd, but if you mount it further recessed into the foglight slot, it could work. I mounted it in such a way to fit with the aspec black cutout.

EDIT: One of the biggest issues is shrouds with my setup, you WILL NOT find a shroud that's drop in. Any shroud requires some serious modification because I attempt to mount the from the inside of the bumper if that makes sense. You make have better luck mounting something on the outside with a stock bumper.

The lights are exactly the same on those model years.

Citidelx - Are you saying that I can buy a fog light from one of those models and take off its mounting hardware and add the RL mounting hardware?

I does look like you can remove the mounting hardware (judging by the photo of the member that did the glass replacement diy)

Yup, the bracket can be separated from the housing. I don't know much about the interchangeability of the part though.

Maybe I'll buy one from a TL and try it out. IMO, it would be dumb of Honda (and probably more expensive) to change the whole fog light casing for different models (ie - different hole alignment, etc).
