Color Code question
For those that are at or near your car, is there a color code sticker on the driver's door for exterior color and interior color? I can't locate mine. I see the 2 stickers on my MDX but not on my RL. Are they located somewhere else on the car? My only concern is if it's supposed to be on the door and mine are not there is that they were taken off to paint the door for some damage I don't know about before it was sold to me. I may be a little paranoid right now, but just wanted to check with everyone else if the stickers are there. TIA. Mike

I don't have a question on my color code, just wondering if they are still putting the color code sticker on the driver's door on the RL's. I can't find mine on my doors, worry that they were taken off when it was worked on before I owned the car which I bought new.

Guys, I think there is a misunderstanding of my question. The question is are they still putting the color code "tag" on the door jam? I cannot find my tag on my 06.

And in answer to your question, there is no color code on the door, as in older Acuras. I wonder if the manufacture location makes a difference? RL=Japan, MDX=Canada, if I am not mistaken.

Position 11 of the VIN is the Assembly Plant, referred to as the Factory Code.

I just bought replacement arm rest pieces, based upon the color that I thought they were, I ordered tan. They arrived today, I took them out to the car and they are many shades brighter than anything in my car. What color is the interior of my car? I wouldve never guessed grey.
Thanks

Taupe.
Parchment is tan/sand colored. Taupe has almost no yellow in it. It looks like a khaki desert camo with mostly greys.

what are the code numbers for the three colors used on the interior
What are the code letters (e.g., A or B or C) for each of the three colors used on the interior on the RLs? I need to find some interior parts for our 08 RL, and the junk yards use their own version of colors. Thanks.

No, they do not put the color code sticker on the car anymore. I thought the same thing three months ago and looked for it everywhere, couldn't find it.

Our car has a B in the last line of the manufacturer's label on the bottom of the door post. I would call the seat colors cream, while junk yards refer to beige and tan colors of interiors of RLs that they have. Here is a pictorial of RL colors, minus the letter code.: 2008 Acura RL Exterior Paint Colors and Interior Trim Colors | Autobytel.com. I guess ours is taupe, but I would like to hear officially what's what. By the way I am looking for a left/driver's side flap on the console box. I can't quite figure out how the edge got so worn - PO was overweight?

Taupe/Grey = NH556L
Parchment/Tan = YR240L
Ebony/Black = NH167L

Thanks a lot. It turns out, after a call to an Acura dealer, and another look at our car's interior, that the NH556L color is definitely gray, on the upper part of the door panels only. The lower part of the door, and the seats and console are what I would call cream, but Acura calls taupe. So I guess I definitely have to work with the junk yards to make sure that the parts I want match what they have, via the B on the manufacturer's label on the door post

FYI, I got those codes off of interior part numbers. If there is a part number printed anywhere, these will be the last digits.
