Is this normal? I noticed this while driving home tonight. All of the other buttons on the climate control/radio/nav console are illuminated except for these 2. Seems weird that they wouldn't be. Can someone check if these 2 buttons are illuminated at night? I have an 05 RL. Thanks.

They are. Sounds like a light bulb or two is burned out. Are you still under warranty? Hate for them to be $100 lightbulbls.

Still under warranty. Bumper to bumper until 63,000 miles. Have about 33k right now.

mine burned about three times already. eventually, the dealer replaced the entire chip which has six buttons

I have an 06 and have noticed the same problem with the 2 buttons not lighting up at night.
I decided it is not enough of a problem for me to leave the car at the dealer for god only knows how long and have to order parts, etc.
I have had bad luck with the service dept at this dealer before( replaced driver mirror and scratched door pretty bad and also broke the trim moldiong and gave it back to me like it was like that to begin with) I later had them admit they did it and they fixed it for free. So long story short i dont want to drop off for minor repair and have the console all marred up and rattle. BTW the deqaler is courtesy acura in sanford florida. Has anyone else had any service issues with this dealer?

You should report the dealer to Acura corporate.

I did contact acura in california. They were instrumental in having my dealer repair the damage that they did when they replaced the mirror. They made sure iwas taken care of, but it took corporate to see to this. It should have been done at the dealer level.

I had my dealer replaced those when I was under original warranty, but now I got them [bulbs] burned again and they say my extended warranty is not covering it.

Does anyone know how to replace them myself?
