Car lock question

When i lock the car with handle or the fob I can hear the doors lock but it doesn't beep and the lights don't flash. I went thru the keyless entry settings and everything is still set correctly so not sure what's happened. Could it be a fuse?

That is normal behavior. Press the buttone a second time and you'll get the confirmation beep.

I have no idea, I had it set like 2 years ago and never went back. I think you can play with it in the mid.

Yes, I remember it being set in the mid, but I can't remember the options. I think you were the one that did not want your HIDs to blink - wasn't that you? So that must be an option.

um...I was the one who didn't want headlights to remain on after the car was off...I got around that by manually turning them off everytime I get out of the car...

That is the way it's always been until recently. I can hit 10 times in a row and nothing. I double checked the mid and none of the settings have changed. That's why i was thinking it could be a fuse.

I was wrong...first touch lock and then beep. I guess I got so used to touching it twice to be sure I must have been skipping the first beep.

OP, when you exit the vehicle, lock the doors via key fob, if it doesn't beep, place the key fob far away from the car so you don't activate the auto unlock when hand is placed on handle, take a walk around the car without the fob on you trying to open all the doors. If one of your doors isn't locked, it won't "beep". My rear passenger door stopped auto locking and I noticed it when the car failed to "beep" at me. Fixed the door lock problem and the "beep" is back.
