Hello everyone, Im new, so dont slap me around too much, I work on german cars mostly, but a neighbor has an RL with a couple of issues , and asked me to help him out, doing my due diligence.

07/2007 production tag on the door jam RL. US, 3.5v6
Battery was replaced, and the remote still opens the doors, but he has to take the key out of the remote and put it in to start the car, didn't do that before, just turn the thing where the key goes,,pairing issue I think, How is that done,,there is no manual in the car.

second issue is in the A/C..someone did some work to it of course, and it doesn't work..
The compressor comes on for a short time, and turns off.
Compressor was replaced, and one hose as well, seems that its hitting the pressure switch and shutting down fast,,,gauge set is on the way from ebay, I only have low side pressure readings,,kind of high when the compressor cycles,,then shuts down..
Are there common system blockages when a compressor fails on these cars? I don't know of the drier was changed, and I cant find the expansion valve..
