Android Auto
I'm considering looking for a 2005 - 2007 RL but I've just learned that apparently it won't accept an aftermarket stereo. I had hoped to install an Android Auto unit but apparently that won't be possible. Is that correct? Is there any way to use Android Auto, or anything similar, in a 2005 - 2007 RL?

It looks like this product might give me some of what I wanted from Android Auto:

@Jeremy95531 didn't you just install a hands free set up?

The product I linked to is much more than just a hands free setup. It uses Google Assistant (or Siri if you have an iPhone) to work with your phone.

Honestly, any phone you have these days will have enough of screen size to support navigational needs. The second one is handsfree - get USASpec BT for RL and you will be set if you want to use true handsfree, however you can still use it in as-is if the phone is sitting in a holder.
Additionally, through the same module, you get BT streaming from your phone so there is that piece covered as well... So far, all works in RL favor - it is just the question of how much are you willing to compromise...
To pick a car based on "Android auto, yes or no" - to me is not making sense...
The second non-sense fact you mentioned is Maxima ... Maxima does not really belong in Acura RL / TL circle - so I'd scratch that one almost instantly.
If not a RL, I'd recommend going with TL (tech pkg possibly, FWD) - those cars will last you a time, and some more (hint: I have both lol)
