I've heard RL j35a8 timing belt is reinforced or some special rubber. Is this true? I am in the process of putting RL heads into odyssey j35a6.
Somewhere I've heard rl belt is reinforced and lasts longer
If that's the case I'd like to go with RL belt. I assume it will just fit since it's pretty much same engine. But wanted to confirm.

Hm. Should have looked first.. it's same part number timing belt on j35a6 and j35a8.

Partsgeek seems to have some reputation. Won't be selling made in chin a aisin right? I am looking at the last kit on this page for 215$
Not the gates kit for 150..
Ll call local dealer see if he will pride Match. Often they do. He was asking something around 300-400 the other day.

The water pump is aisin, chances are original in car is either that or yamada; bearings are Koyo and in the car as well. Tensioner is aisin original and in kit. All those are made in japan.

belt is mitsuboshi, made in thailand. original was unitta made by gates. mitsub is oem manufac for honda & toyota.

Ive used the gates kits on many cars and acuras. Just did two J37 and 1 J35 and my RL this year.

Gates makes most OEM belts the pumps are NISSIN pumps also.
