Acura RL 2005 ran out of gas with 65 miles left!
So my Acura shut off with 65 miles left and had to have gas delivered from family on the way to work. Wasn't sure if it was even gas, so it was about a 50/50 on that one. Is there a way to calibrate this so it doesn't happen again?

That doesn't make any sense. I've never heard of calibrating this sensor, but something isn't right. https://acurazine.com/forums/second-...-empty-752480/
In any case, just fill it up all the way and keep an eye on how many miles you drive per tank (there's a setting to reset upon fill up). Unless you are getting outstanding mileage, you can expect to need a fill up around 320 miles.

As I recall in my RL, the range adjusted itself when it got closer to empty, so I think there are 2 things in play here.
For example, my range after fillup would be ~400 miles. The range would go down like the range indicator was working off of how much fuel was being delivered not the tank sensor. Then at about 80 or 90 miles left on range, it would suddenly drop to 60 or 70 miles left like the tank sensor took over. The gauge indicator did not show a similar drop - only the range. (this is only my theory - I can't think of how else to explain it). Maybe the tank sensor is not working and your range is not being computed correctly as tank gets empty.
