I opted to save $27 and bought the TL knob. The differences are really VERY minor. I could easily take pictures of the TL knob all polished up and it would compare to the RL knob well.

Someone bought your 7 year old RL knob for $120. Should I lol too?

Nice job.....

I actually forgot what I sold it for... Thanks for the reminder

To be honest, if I didn't come across the RL knob I would have definitely settled for a TL knob. I was about to give up but I was lucky in my search.

Thanks for the write up 007 because as time goes on the RL knob will continue to be more rare and if people want the finish wood package then they'll have to settle with a TL knob.

Ok looks like I may have hit a nerve here or something which was not my intent.

I agree that the old TL/MDX knob with the mod shown in this thread would be a decent option given the lack of supply for the OEM RL one (hence why I ordered the damn thing - which I have no use for since it was the wrong one) but for a few bucks extra I personally would have undoubtedly paid for the RL knob, given the difference in appearance and retain the stock look.

Anyway, I ended up paying $99 for the RL one, AND paid $60 for the TL one... in the end looks like I paid far more then $120.

Hitting nerves here is like MDub hitting bugs. I wouldn't sweat it; you didn't work anyone up.

Can you not send the TL knob back? What about the black market here?

Don`t think I can return it, but will ask, gotta figure out how much it will cost to ship back to the US, if its anything like what I paid to ship here, then likely not worth it. I havnt used the black market on this site as of yet, but again shipping to US, may be a PITA. might try tossing it on a local craigslist or something

I missed you were in Canada. There are minimum post/join date requirements for the black market, but we have a very large Canadian representation here on AZine. It would definitely be worth a try even if you required it be shipped to Canada in the ad.

That TL color is actually closer than I expected but still way off. The size is way too far off too. Good job on snagging an RL knob.

Good job oo7spy. You kept it nice and calm

Your self restraint to not verbally express the what a "tool" that seller is asking such a crazy sale price.

Gotta call you out on taking the high road this time around 'bro'.

You like the feel of a wood knob? That's what she said.

No problem Ichi d, glad you were able to get one. Also looks like Mike734 benefited from my ebay find and link posting for the $150 one. It's nice that those who are looking for the RL one, are able to get them despite them being discontinued...

I bet if it was listed for $200, someone would end up buying it as well... all about supply and demand.

Yes, I bought the Ebay item. I like it much better than the other, smaller one I bought from Del Rey auto. Credit to Del Rey, they accepted the return of the one I bought. Fortunately I had saved all the packaging for the OEM part.
