2010 RL Tech Bluetooth Audio??

I'm pretty sure this has been asked countless times, but i've looked around pretty good and haven't found what i'm looking for. i just upgraded my '02 RL to a 2010. I'm trying to figure out if it can stream BT audio and if so how? i finally figured out i have to hit the aux button a few times to get to the BT menu option screen. "pause" is greyed out and "sound" apparently isn't it either. the screen says "no connect." someone please help i HATE all the feedback and unpleasant noise from the aux cable.

any help is greatly appreciate and thx in advance!

Most of us here have/had pre-MMC models. Maybe some MMC owners will show up, but in the mean time, what does the manual say?

I assume your phone is connected to Hands Free Link when you are trying this?

1st, lemme thank u for the response. and yes, it would appear that the vast majority on theis site have '05 - '08 RLs. i just got the car on tuesday and it didn't have an owner's manual. i just bought one from ebay, but it won't be here til next week. my phone is not connected to the hands free link. not sure how to access that. i get to the bluetooth "no connect" screen and it does nothing from there.

the very 1st time i tried to connect, my note 5 did at least show the RL audio and TRIED too connect, but was unsucessful. now i can't even get the RL to show up when my phone scans for available BT devices. can u school me on this "hands free link" business? thx.

here's what you do to pair your phone, press & release the talk button on the steering wheel, after the beep say PHONE SETUP (note speaker is over head)after prompt press & release talk button and say PAIR. remember to press & release the talk button after every prompt then talk. this should get you paired up till you your owners manual...good luck

thanks so much for your responses guys! much, MUCH appreciated. i got it to work before i could even look at owner's manual pdf that oo7spy provided. i went by 95legend6speed's instructions and after a couple attempts it worked for me. this makes thing SO much better. i was bummed when i thought this car had no BT audio capabilities. i'm happy now. thx again!

BTW, occasionally my phone will refuse to connect with my 2006 RL. If I turn BT off/on on the phone, it'll work again. I attribute it to the car having probably a very early protocol version of BT.

thx knv8. on another note, i have a 2011 bmw 750 lix. i remember when i 1st got it it didn't take long to figure how to navigate thru the menus, connect to BT, etc; this was WITHOUT help. this rl on the other hand, i can honestly say there's no way i would have been able to just "fiure out" how to pair my phone for BT audio streaming without assistance from members here or the manual. i searched online like crazy and saw TLs, MDXs and ZDXs, but no RLs.

How dark is that tint? Looks nice. I did 30% ceramic tint all around, which is probably the lowest you can go without attracting attention from police (SF bay area suburbs). Every time I see a MMC RL (which is rare around here) I like the rear better than mine, but I still think the pre-MMC front looks better.

Indeed, the BT implementation on Acuras during this timeframe was quite primitive. Everything is voice controlled and there is no graphical menu. I believe around 2009 or 2010 they started to add a "phone" button around the multi function wheel so you could do some stuff via the nav screen, like making a call, pairing phone, etc.

my tint is 3m high quality smoke colored tint. 20% on the sides and back and 50% on the windshield.
