My 2005 Acura RL with 120k recently start making a whistling sound from front end.
Mostly when the car coming to a stop , it start whistling, when I gas a little it goes away but when it idle it whistle again
Sound is really annoying
Anybody experience this???

I've heard this on very rare occasions, and not under the same circumstances. Only hear it slowing down to turn a corner and with the driver's window lowered. It is clearly a whistle, not a squeak.
No clue what causes it....hope that helped (NOT....sorry).

I have had a faulty radiator cap and didn't hear any whistles. Not that it can't be though. Heavy may be onto something with focusing on a pressurized system like the cooling system. Leaking vacuum canister?

It is interesting that you can hear it better from the rear door than you can from the hood (unless you were covering the mic). Can you confirm where the sound is the loudest? You say that if you gas it, the sound goes away? That is an unusual and very loud sound.

Fuel pump is a great guess especially if the pedal changes the sound.
