05 OEM Radio question, I can't stand the lack of Ipod
So, basic question, please don't get mad ... I bought the GROM adapter to play AUX music on my 05 RL and it didn't work (I did on my NSX and worked fine UGH... ) .. so here is my question:
Can I purchase an 08 RL Radio (the whole center console) and just replace it? Are they compatible?
I can't stand burning CD's every week almost, and I have this car for ages ...
Thank you gentleman!
Oscar
PS: I am sorry if this question is stupid but I did searched without success ....

The GROM should've worked. Why didn't it?
The 2 USASpec options are your next best bet. The '08 headunit will be compatable in theory, but you will only gain a 3.5mm female harness. You will still need the plug, wiring, and male harness.

Purchased wiring harness from eBay and just bypass the xm. Spent less than $20 but it involves soldering the unit together. I didn't bother connecting the switch to utilize xm since I haven't renewed the subscription. Just purchase y-splitter(ebay) and jack from radio shack.
