Must be nice...I called Onstar when I purchased the car last year and they told me that they can't provide me service anymore.

call onstar from your car by pushing the button. tell them you want to participate in the safe and sound program which is free for 1yr. tell them its something thru state farm.

they will take your info and bam you have for 1yr.

I called OnStar and was told I have to go through State Farm (clearly State Farm needs to be your insurance carrier). I emailed my agent. I'll post the response once I get it.

What year is your car, '05? I think the '05's were analog, which is no longer supported. I currently have service on my '06, which I believe is digital.

From my State Farm agent:

"The OnStar program listing comes from OnStar – Its vehicles equipped with OnStar but are not currently an OnStar subscriber and have not had an active subscription within the last 9 months. The data is match by the vehicle identification number. If your car qualifies for the offer, the next mailing will be in October and how to redeem the offer is included in that mailing.

The offer is for the Safe & Sound package only."
