My buddy has a 16' tech with a can of air...the spare and kit was an option.
Imo so much bad can happen running with no spare or with run flats so I went for the adv trim package that included the spare.
Anyways just the other day his tpms indicated low and by the time he safely pulled over the tire apparently was too low for the can to work.
he called for a tow service and had the rdx towed home.
end of story?...nope, there was no jack in the trunk either so he couldn't take his tire off and run down to get it patched...his other cars jacks are point specific.
I'd say always carry a spare.
I remember Amazon selling the spare and kit when I was adding up the costs and comparing the adv features with the tech package.

Upon my recommendation, my brother bought an RDX FWD Tech (about 15 months before we bought ours), and I was very surprised to hear that there was no spare.
He bought a spare and jack as an accessory.
When we bought ours, (we were ordering an AWD Advance model), I asked our salesman about the spare. He told me that ours would have one, but some other trim levels come with the inflater can.

We rented a car in Italy a few years ago. It had no spare and an inflater can with an air pump, which we didn't discover until we had a flat. Surprisingly, the damned thing worked! The issue being you pretty much can't get a tire repaired or replaced after 5pm in Italy. Still, I'd not trust that configuration in a car I owned. I might expect this in a Chevy. In an Acura, it seems like it's kinda cheaping out unnecessarily.
