Production 2019 RDX Sightings

I am new here so I hope starting this new thread is appropriate. I couldn't find any thread that seemed to address sightings of the new RDX.

Perhaps there are users here who were at the NY Show, and since then I would think the production models shown would have been to other car shows. I went to the Denver auto show last week but unfortunately the only 2019 there was a red one behind ropes, all locked up, with very dark windows, and with a sign saying "prototype". Has anyone here seen or better yet had the opportunity to sit in a production 2019 RDX anywhere?

I am particularly interested in front seat headroom, and of course many other things as the car does look great! For me the lower part of the ceiling on the 2018 is just too low for my height. At this point I have no idea if the 2019 will be better or worse or about the same. If anyone has an opportunity to check this out that would be great. I really hope the headroom has increase a bit.

My first alternative if the RDX headroom is inadequate for me would be the 2019 Infiniti QX50. It has adequate headroom, whereas the 2017/2018 QX50 did not. Of course like many I am skeptical of the new Infiniti engine in the first year, and of course there is the CVT which is not a favorite. I have been driving a 2008 BMW X3 for ten years and could go with a new X3, however in addition to being more costly to purchase the long term maintenance costs are higher with BMW. Other possibilities with good headroom are the Audi Q5 or the Volvo XC60 but I lean toward Acura and Infiniti. And for what it's worth, both the NX and RX from Lexus have too little headroom for me.

I was at the NY Auto Show.

The car was locked, as expected, but it looked good in person. Thankfully, there is no beak on the front, and the new grill design looks smart. From what you can see of a locked car, it looked appealing to me from every point of view.

No beak, BUT the Acura logo is obscenely large.

Probably used to hide the ACC/CMBS radar system behind it? I would be nice if it was about 1/2 that size.

The red in these pics looks like like an orange - red. I believe the lighting is making it look more that way...hope it is a tad darker with more red.

That's a teaser colour. I hear it wont make it to production. If it did I would buy it.

I think it looks really nice, except for the huge logo. It works for some cars, but not for Acuras..

I honestly don't mind it and think it fits in with the diamond pentagon grill. Sure its a tad big, but I also think it sort of just fits in pretty nicely with the rest of the front.

I think it fits well too ! If it were smaller, it would look skimpy with the rest of the grill design.

Best looking Acura vehicle since the 3G TL (that is 10 years). Hopefully Acura's new design language translates to all their vehicles. The RLX needs to be scrapped and redesigned from ground up like the 19 RDX. I have a 05 TL. I was planning on going Audi. However with the looks and the reported specs, I'll probably get the white RDX in A-Spec this fall.

I'm planning on getting either the Advanced or A-Spec. My concern with the A-Spec are the 20" wheels..they often make for a rough ride LOL ! Question about the A-Spec ....do you know if it comes as loaded as the Advanced does ? When I had my Lexus NX Sport, it did not include as much as the top of the line model did, but it came with special sports stuff like the red interior , black headliner , and a few things that the top model didn't have.

How tall are you? Head room is also a concern for me.

I can understand why they chose to make the logo so large. But I don't think it works for Acura like it does for Mercedes. With that being said, this is sort of a fake it till you make is scenario. Which I actually think is a good way of changing people's perceptions of the brand.

That's what they're going for and anything is better than that Chrysler looking logo.

I agree. Perhaps some folks will adapt their thinking about logo size as they become accustomed to the new grill. A small logo from previous designs would not look great with the new and very attractive grill. As others have alluded to, a great vehicle provides lots of reasons to love that vehicle, including the front end (except perhaps for Lexus?)

The advance has more tech gadgets than the A-Spec. The A-Spec is decently loaded but has more exterior enhancements. I don't know the specifics of all what is included, that will come out pretty soon. For me the A-Spec is plenty good enough for me. I have an 05 TL that is bare bones compared to most things now a days.

I have an Acura doc. that states what the Advance will have. And many items are not on the A-Spec. Heated steering wheel, rear camera washer, no hands rear hatch opener, 16 way seats, rear heated seats, rain sensing washer,
surround view camera, head up display, adaptive damper system....are all on the Advance only.

The A-Spec adds..to the Tech Pack: ventilated seats, LED fog lights, ELS 3 D 16 speaker sound system, 20" wheels, and of course the special dark trim, the special gauge "look" red leather exclusive interior....that's most of it.

All will have the panoramic sun roof with a single auto controlled sliding shade and the "Acura Watch Plus" package.

Do you know the details of the power seats for the A-Spec?

12 way for both front seats. Heated and ventilated. Red or black leather with faux suede inserts/trim.
