2013 RDX Base Reliability/Major Issues?

Hi All,
Considering purchasing a 2013 RDX base model with 58K miles. Come full circle to Acura because being able to drive the car to 200K plus miles is important to me.

Was hoping some would be able to provide color if there are any major issues to be aware of. My research has turned up nothing major to this point. Appreciate any feedback or help is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!

By and large the RDX is a pretty safe bet in terms of lack of issues, they have a good reliability rating. Just do the transmission fluid changes as per the Maintenance Minder, this is one item not to be ignored. Go for it, you won't regret it.

Thanks!

Is the VCM vibration any cause for concern. Seen conflicting reports. Would you think it would be apparent on a test drive?

Do a highway run and drive at a steady 60mph for a while then slightly accelerate. I bet you will notice it. Not a deal breaker, but that is a good way to see if it bothers you.

I've tried all the ways mentioned in several threads but could not feel any vibration so far. May be my RDX doesn't have VCM activated. .

Only time I notice it is on the highway at steady speed and just slightly letting off the gas, it's a VERY subtle jarring feeling when the cylinders are de-activated. In 6 months of ownership I have noticed it all of 2 or 3 times.

How's your search going? Did you buy it yet?
I'm close to 47K miles.
Dealer visits other than routine service so far

Passenger side mirror vibration - entire mirror assembly replaced under warranty
Rear shocks making noise - shocks replaced under warranty
Front Disc brakes squealing- discs replaced under warranty
Battery died - replaced under warranty
Airbag recall - replaced under warranty
poor grip and vibration - All four tires were worn out and needed replacement .
As you can see nothing is major deal breaker.

Good luck in your search.
