What other car do you own besides the RDX?

Just wondering what other car do you own besides the RDX?

Also, not to get too personal but what is the avg household income of buyers here?

Just trying to make sure as a young buyer (30), I am not streching myself too thin..

Between my wife and I, we own the RDX and lease Accord EXL V6. Lease is coming up in May 2014 and need to get another car...

Looking at the 2014 Mercedes CLA....to replace Accord

We have an Accord and the RDX and are going to wait until the TLX comes out to see how it looks. Might be out of the price range but I've heard that the newer Accord still has relatively uncomfortable seats so we might look at the Passat.

We just purchased a 'final year' 2013 Volvo C70 convertible...our fourth consecutive Volvo 'vert, going back to the '04 ragtop.

As My Darling would say, "Life's too short NOT to own a convertible" !

Don't know what we'll do in a few years with no Volvo OR Acura convertible

^^ You could always use a "can opener" and create your own convertible...where is that ugly photoshopped TL convertible I saw a while ago?!? The one with the racing stripe on it *lol*

OP...There is a 2013 RDX (AWD Tech), a 2012 TL (AWD Tech) and a 2013 Hyundai Accent (no AWD and No tech, nothing, nadda, zilch, didly squat). Without quoting the exact dollar figure in our household, lets just say I am living well below my mean. I am not cheap by any means but very responsible with my money but also don't have extravagant tastes in life....my cars are my indulgence.

You guys have 3 cars for 2 people?

My father in law just got the 2013 TL Tech..he likes it a lot.

I am not sure what to get when I get rid of the Accord...

RDX is primairly my wife's car but come may she wants to get the Mercedes CLA and wants me to take the RDX...

I just want to keep my total payment for 2 cars around $1000 a month

lol..we actually have a 2005 Corolla with 145,000 miles...which has been sitting in one spot since May 2013 when we got the RDX...I regret not trading that Corolla when we got the RDX..but maybe I'll use it during shitty weather..

It needs a little bit of work like new tires, intake manifold gasket and I refuse to put money in it....

I wonder if I can keep on driving the Corolla without the intake manifold gasket replaced..

I have a 2006 Nissan Titan with 156k that I will replace when the new Chevy Colorados come out this Fall.
Also have a 2006 BWM Z4 M Roadster with 11k miles. I make Weather look sane as to how and when I drive it.

^^ LMAO.....Trust me, I have enough quirks (that I will not list here) that will strip away my title of "being sane". At least, i am comfortable in admitting it....

Our other car is an 09 Odyssey van. Yes, we have children, they have friends, we also have a dog. No comment on the income other than to say, I've never regretted that I was conservative with my money.

Thanks. Yes, it is an addiction. It could be worse, though (if I only had a few more parking spaces ).

2013 Golf TDI 4-door. Both are in my name, I usually drive the VW as the RDX is leased and I have the longer commute.

And another FJR, mine's also a 2008.

Wife is a lawyer and I'm a banker, we're not rich, but we're doing ok.

Our other car is a 2011 GMC Acadia Denali. It is a heavy beast with lots of issues ( slow switching into R, camera/tilt side mirror takes FOREVER to tilt when put in R, transmission holding on an incline at stop/light is a joke-hopefully no one is following too closely as it rolls back ALOT. Great for hauling people & stuff and decent rider, but gas mileage is rough too.
Thinking of a MINI Countryman as possible replacement.

^^ *ouch* I heard so many horror stories about Mini's reliability that I would make sure you do extensive research before going that route....Great little rigs to drive (fun factor) but I would not touch one from a reliability's point of view.

That's just me though.....

'06 Civic EX. Some days I start thinking about trading it in for something a bit more fun for my daily commute, but other than the fun-factor, I have no good reason to get rid of it - I've had virtually no problems with this thing.

In the last 20 years, my wife and I have probably had 15 different cars. Accord, CRV, Element, Civic, Interga, 350z, VW GTI, Mazdaspeed 3, Lexus ES300, Camry, Corolla, G35x Sedan, etc.

We bought the RDX for my wife about 18 months ago.

About 4 months ago I thought it was time for me to trade in a 2008 G35x in on my first truck. I ended up getting a 2013 Ram 1500 4x4 crew cab w/Hemi and 8 speed. The sticker was about 45k but got it for around 36k.

After owning the truck for 4 months it really makes me appreciate the RDX. The two vehicles end up costing about the same but the RDX is so much better. It's really not a slam against the RAM because it was the best of the bunch I tested. The interior fit and finish in the Acura kills all the trucks, the performance is better, the handling is better, the stopping is better, it's quieter, the steering feels a ton better, fuel mileage of course, parking is easier, etc. Really the only things I like better about the Ram is the tech (8.4" screen), the legroom in both front and back, the bed for hauling, and the towing capability. Even though the tech is a lot better I've had issues with it rebooting.

This was my first truck and my first domestic out of the last 15 vehicles. I have a feeling this will be my last truck and most likely my last domestic for a while.

My fiance and I have the 2014 RDX, 2008 328i hardtop convertible, a 2002 chevy 3/4 ton 4x4, and I have a 1974 Datsun 260Z sitting in storage waiting for a restore. 46,000 miles and hasn't been driven in over 10 years.

Lets just say that we have no children or plans for them, and don't plan on leaving any money behind.

Aside from the RDX I own a 2012 Mustang GT and a 1999 Harley Davidson Lowrider both of both of which have extensive modifications and are insanely quick.
I also have a 1969 Honda Z50 Mini Trail that I fully restored a number of years ago. The Mustang and the Mini Trail are my favorites.

RDX for the wife. Toyota Rav4 V6 for me and C6 Z06 for dry days when I can bring it out to play.

I drive the RDX when we go out as a family. Its smoother, quieter and rides better than the Rav4. The V6 rav4 with a little bit of mods is faster though. Even my wife noticed when she drove them back to back.

You need to settle it by challenging her to a drag race.

Her RDX is stock, my Rav4 runs 14.2s at the drag strip. I am pretty sure I got her beat right now.

She is also not much of a car person, she cannot tell when I changed the rims or modified a car in other ways. Little chance she would ever agree to race me anyway. She also said to leave her RDX alone, I am not allowed to modify it.

^^ You have a smart woman....The RDX looks good stock in my opinion. I am running ours that way too and the only thing I may have considered was updating the wheels to the Acura accessory wheels from the old RDX. Saw someone post them in the photo section and it looked amazing.....but not enough for me to spend money on upgrading since I don't keep my vehicles long enough.

BTW...US East Coast or CDN East Coast?

Yes I agree the wheels are about the only thing to change. I did tint the front door windows. We also got the factory sills.

I would do performance upgrades too if there are good ones. No noise adders though. The quietness is nice to have.

I am on the US east coast.

I've read a number of reviews on the CLA. The general feeling I got is that it's a pretty good car, but not a great Mercedes. A number of compromises have been made to hit the price point.

That said, different people look for different things in their cars. If I were you, I'd take on for a test drive, and make sure to price it out with the options you would want. The price of German cars seem to rise very quickly when you start checking boxes on the option sheet! And as you get closer to $40K, some of the competition starts to look pretty good.

Good luck.

My other car is a 2014 Accord EX-L. I consider the seats a vast improvement over my previous 2005 Accord EX-L. We drove the car over 800 miles from NYC to Atlanta with very little fatigue or discomfort. I would try out the seats myself before relying on someone else's opinion, even a professional reviewer.

2014 RDX, 2010 Jetta, and 1988 Mustang LX hatch

Starting a new job in 2 weeks that will include travel 2 to 3 times per month. The Jetta is now my daily driver. Now just waiting for the details of the travel plans on the job before I find a replacement for the Jetta.
