Remove warning labels from visors?

Has anyone tried removing the warning labels from the visors? They irk me. The interior is great-looking except for the gaudy warning labels. Any ideas?

Well, some years ago I had the same feeling, but, when I saw how "expertly" they applied them I decided...get used to it and not worry. So, now they don't bother me, and it's not that big a deal. Do I like them..no...but, you pick and choose your battles and what should really cause heartburn and what shouldn't.

True indeed! But to choose whether to go into battle or not, I'm trying to figure out how serious the battle might be. Somewhere between opening a vacuum-sealed package and Armageddon, but I'm hoping to narrow it down a bit more to find out how much danger is involved.

I had a friend who bought a Pontiac Grand Prix quite a few years back and he had the same idea. It didn't go well. Long story short, he ended up having to replace the visors!

Sorry, it's been long enough I don't remember what he did to try to remove them. I can tell you he is a do-it-yourself kind of guy, so I know it wasn't a knee-jerk reaction or half-witted idea. I'm sure it was a well conceived idea that simply went awry.

Personally, those warnings, though gaudy, have become so commonplace I don't even notice them anymore.

I agree with FWAcura........those things are on to stay!! You will undoubtedly end up covering over the "hole" with...something....or have to replace the visor. It's just not worth removing....in most folks opinions. I don't even notice them any longer and get on with what is truly a problem and work on fixing that....like my dog....she's a sweeheart....but, begs for my food all the time!! LOL!!

Hey the more you do some research the more you will find the RDX is making it's mark in it's category.
No matter what "issues" we can all find with any vehicle, the new RDX is turning out....so far....to be a winner for Acura....and a winner for us owners.
We did good!!

Based on my extensive experience with issues with the headliner, I'd be worried about delaminating/separating the fabric from the padding or insert and ending up with visors that look like droopy diapers. You might be better off covering them with some sort of accessory if they bother you that much...

Semi, did you do this with a 2013 RDX with the fabric visors? If so, did you prepare them at all? (e.g., steaming, heating with an iron, Goo Gone, etc.)
