I wouldn't exactly call this a "problem", so I'll put it in the main section -

Has anyone else experienced dripping from the rear window wash nozzle? It isn't steady by any means, but within a day or two of washing my car, I have a line down the back window under the nozzle.

I've even cleaned the window again, and the line is there a few days later - so I know it isn't leftover water from the car wash.

I assume it is that the wash fluid and lines expand and contract with temperature changes, forcing out a drop or two of fluid here or there.

My last SUV had a more vertical rear window, so if there was a drip, it would have missed the rear window.

Just curious if anyone else has this and it is normal or if my nozzle needs adjusting. J

I have not experienced this but it sounds like it is related to the car wash since you only see it after the car is washed. I hand wash my car and I do have to come back and take care of drips from the rear washer pivot, the rear view mirrors and some of the window trim. Never from the area of the wiper nozel and never a day or two after washing. If you are pressure washing or drive-through washing I suspect it is forcing water into the area underneath the "spoiler" that is slowly working its way out. Another of many reasons not to pressure wash. In any event, it would be worth looking at the black trim piece under the spoiler to see if it is loose or misaligned. It may not be a problem if it is entirely plastic - if it is attaches to body metal then that is a different story.

My last car wash was a week ago - I cleaned the back window yesterday, and there are water marks on the wondow today. I can't imagine there is still car wash water a week later when we have had multiple 90+ degree days... I'm sure it is wash fluid from the nozzle.

A couple of weeks ago I noticed something on the rear window. I thought, "what the h... is that?". Then I thought it must have been a bird "present". Maybe it was this mysterious rear window washer drip.

With the heat and maybe a pretty full fluid bottle, the expansion may have caused the "dribble." I've seen it before. Or, if the washer was used then sometimes there is a little leftover residue dripping out. Most likely one of those.

Gotta check that out....I have yet to use the "window Washer". Honestly, as my first SUV, I didn't even know it had a washer, lol.

It's "kinda normal"...if that makes any OK sense. It's the summer heat and expansion of the fluid. I've had other SUV's....all with rear washers.....and it happened to them....in the summer. Never in the winter or colder days. Is it OK....Hmmmm....not really desireable, but, not a huge thing either. I just do a quick wiping and it's not there to bug me.
