Thumbs down rear passenger storage

just read this on Acura's website and couldn't stop laughing:

"The rear of the center console features a small shelf for rear passengers.."

What are you guys planning to store in there? I think my dealer forgot to go over this feature

*LMAO* Amazing how creative their writing can be. I wonder how they handle the non adjustable passenger seat...."a non height adjustable seat for the passenger to reduce the stress of finding a proper seating position..Your tall friends will also love you for giving them maximum headroom"

LOL

Really though, how may cars do you know of that actually have a hight adjustment for the passenger. I remember when most cars had a bench seat with the only adjustment being front and back. The passenger had to live with what the driver chose. There was no tilt or telescoping wheel and if you wanted to adjust the mirrors you had to roll down the windows with a crank and reach out to move them.

I remember those cars where the ones I could afford were well used. Usually the seat was broken so you could not adjust it and sometimes the window did not roll down either.

Or half of it moved and when you stopped the other half moved and threw you into the dash because there were no seat belts. At least none that were used.

I'm not that old. I just had this thing going on for a few years in the seventies. Bought my cars for $20 to $300. I always found these deals where the cars weren't worth much because of issues unless you did all the work yourself. I would get a car fixed up pretty good then someone would make me an offer I could not refuse so I would sell and do it all over again. Never set out to do that it just sort of happened that way.

I have already driven the new RDX and like it alot. But my wife always complains about how low she sits it our accord exl while in the passenger seat,so we checked out the rdx this weekend. The passenger seat is so low she can barely see over the dash and hood. The seat and no 12v in the rear to charge a cell phone is almost a deal breaker for me.But I still will try this week to see what kinda deal I can get trading in my 08 accord.I also looked at a ford edge this weekend, sticker was 42K.Unbelieveable.
